Club Salvation
York
Club Salvation is a thriving and sexy nightclub situated just a five minute walk from the York train station on George Hudson Street. Locals, tourists and students alike all continuously come to Club Salvation for a fantastic night in a venue where the vibe is always buzzing; the funktion 1 sound system makes sure of that. It's not just the exquisitely resounding music booming out from the specialised speakers which has party goers dancing until closing hours at 4.30am... the state of the art lighting systems and pyrotechnic displays are reminiscent of Ibiza's super-clubs and the combination of both really makes for the perfect clubbing experience. The club is made up of 2 rooms which gives you a wider range of choice when it comes to which music you want to get your groove on to, usually you will find a mixture of house/chart mash-up/electro/hip-hop/R&B and other genres depending on the night so there will definitely be something to tickle your fancy and give your ear drums a blasting with your favourite tunes. When the place fills up, which is an often occurrence for the capacity 800 club, you really get a feel of what Club Salvation is all about. The amazing sound system coupled with the co2 cannons, incredible lighting shows and hundreds of dancing revellers make Salvo, as it's known, a firm favourite with countless returning customers.
Students of York St John University are treated to 'Mischief' on Thursday nights at Salvation while everyone else is invited on all other nights which include Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and the late opening time means it is often the last stop for the people who have drank dry the towns bars and pubs. Bars and pubs which are a plenty and which are well within walking distance of Club Salvation. Not too costly of a night with the reasonably priced drinks, Salvation is a hit with those who want the clubbing experience but not give the bank account an absolute hammering. Upstairs is a well-designed heated rooftop terrace which is fully sheltered and is an ideal place for a little break and a chat or to have a cigarette. Salvation oozes approachability with its friendly customer-focused staff and although cliché, truly has 'something for everybody'. Well worth a visit if you've never spent a night here.
