BlueBox
York
At a glance
BlueBox is a nightclub at 10 New St, York YO1 8RA. Its identity is centred on an evening nightlife setting rather than a restaurant or daytime café, making it a place for social drinks and a night out.
The drinks offering includes beer and cocktails, giving the venue two familiar options for group occasions and casual evening plans. Beer provides a straightforward choice, while cocktails add a mixed-drinks option for guests looking for something different. No wider food or drinks range is included in the available venue details, so BlueBox is best described through its bar and nightclub character.
BlueBox is marked as good for groups, which makes group socialising a clear part of its appeal. The nightclub format suits occasions where conversation, drinks and an evening atmosphere are more important than a formal meal. It can therefore work for friends meeting out, small celebrations and other group plans, subject to the venue’s own entry and reservation arrangements.
The price level is moderate, placing BlueBox in a middle range for an evening venue. This gives the listing a useful indication of the expected spending level without tying it to particular prices or individual drinks. Costs can vary according to what is ordered and any arrangements operating at the time of a visit.
BlueBox’s character comes from its straightforward combination of nightclub entertainment, beer, cocktails and group-friendly use. The setting is suited to evening socialising rather than a quiet daytime stop or a destination focused on food. Guests considering the venue for a particular occasion should confirm practical arrangements directly, including opening times, entry requirements and whether reservations are accepted.
For visitors planning a night out in York, BlueBox offers a dedicated nightclub option on New Street. Its concise profile makes the main points clear: a moderate-priced venue, a drinks-led format and suitability for groups. Further choices around timing, access and seating depend on the venue’s current arrangements.
