Transport - Travel outside York

There are lots of great things to see outside of the City. A trip to the coast or a Country House is possible using public transport.

The Coastliner service runs regular buses between Leeds, York, Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Whitby, Bridlington and Filey. As well as linking these major towns together Coastliner is also a local bus service, which means that it passes through beautiful villages and the stunning Yorkshire countryside. These buses can be used to reach the starting point for many lovely country walks in the Howardian Hills or the Yorkshire Wolds.

'Freedom' Tickets for Coastline buses offer the best value. For one price you can travel on the Coastliner route all day long getting on and off the bus wherever you want to. The price also includes a free York City Sightseeing tour.
