Theatre Royal

The theatre has two separate performance areas; the main house which holds up to 840 people and the studio which is a more intimate experience holding 102 seats. Both areas offer a wide range of comedy, drama, dance and Musical productions from both professional and amateur companies. !

There is also a nice Cafe bar for refreshments before the show and drinks at the interval. Serving home made and locally sourced products.

York Theatre Royal dates back to 1744. It has a long history of entertainment in York and is rumoured to be haunted by a ghost called the 'Grey Lady'
