The Raj is a 70 seater restaurant which offers a superb menu of freshly cooked Indian dishes.
The interior of the restaurant has recently been refurbished and is very contemporary to reflect the personality of the owner, Raj. There is a nice bar area where you can have a drink whilst waiting for your table to be prepared or whilst waiting to collect your take away.
There a 3 separate dining areas which are all spacious and comfortable. The decor in each room is tasteful and fresh with feature lighting and bubble glass panels.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and are happy to advise you on your choice of dish as the menu is very large. 'Diners can choose from standard curries through to a selection of Chefs Specials and Balti dishes. Raj is particularly proud of his range of Balti dishes. Balti dishes originate from South Eastern part of India'.
The food is cooked to order by a team of specialist chefs with over forty years experience of preparing delicious dishes that are more focused on rich flavours than hot spices. We can personally recommend the fluffy naan bread which is freshly cooked in a traditional tandoori oven.
The Raj is fully licensed and offers a fine range of wines and beers to compliment the meals.
The Raj has a private party room that seats 30 people and is available for hire in its entirety for private functions.
