In summertime you will see smart boats moored outside the Kings Arms. It is a popular place to be and be seen when the sun is shining.
During winter the Kings Arms is often closed due to Flooding as the whole pub becomes submerged in the overflowing river Ouse.
Inside the pub there is a flood level marker to show how high the water has reached inside the bar. This is a popular feature with tourists who often take pictures of it.
The pub is part of a local brewery company, Samuel Smiths and it has a reputation for inexpensive draught beers and lagers.
