Flares - York

Flares York is a retro-style bar at 6 Tanner Row, York, YO1 6JB. The venue is shaped around a classic retro-bar identity, with a nightlife focus that suits social evenings, organised parties and group occasions. Its character comes through in the combination of bar service, themed presentation and scheduled entertainment rather than a formal restaurant format.

Club nights form an important part of the venue’s programme, placing Flares within York’s evening entertainment scene. Events are also listed by the venue, so the atmosphere and format can change according to the occasion. Some visits may centre on a regular night out, while others can be arranged around a particular event, party booking or seasonal occasion.

Flares also provides menus as part of its offer. The venue is not defined by a single named cuisine in its published information, making the bar and nightlife setting more central to its identity than a specific culinary style. Menu details are best checked before a visit, particularly when a booking involves dietary requirements or a larger group.

The venue is suited to social groups seeking a bar-based evening with retro styling and club-night programming. Party and occasion enquiries are supported, while table bookings provide an option for planned visits. The setting may also appeal to visitors looking for an organised nightlife venue rather than a quiet dining room. The address on Tanner Row places the venue within York’s established city setting, with its offer focused on evening socialising, events and group bookings.
