Oxify York - Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
York
At a glance
Oxify York provides Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, a non-invasive treatment that delivers pure oxygen in a pressurised chamber. The service is intended to support the body’s natural healing processes and is positioned around health, wellness and recovery rather than conventional spa treatments or fitness sessions.
The centre’s therapy programme covers general wellbeing, post-surgery recovery, sports recovery and support for a range of health conditions. Listed areas include arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, Crohn’s disease, dementia and Alzheimer’s, eczema, fibromyalgia, long Covid, migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, psoriasis, stroke, wounds and brain injuries. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is also presented as an option for selected children’s health needs, subject to appropriate assessment.
Sessions take place in a pressurised chamber at the Concept Court centre on Kettlestring Lane in York. The York chamber can be used with or without a roll-out bed, allowing a person to sit upright, recline or lie flat. The chamber operates at pressure levels of up to 1.45 ATA, providing flexibility for different comfort preferences and easier access.
A typical visit begins with a health consultation and a review of the consent form. Once cleared to proceed, the guest enters the chamber for the treatment session, where a member of the specialist team remains available throughout. The session is designed to allow time to sit back and relax, although the chamber may have the enclosed, pressurised feel associated with this type of therapy. At the end, the chamber pressure returns to normal gradually, followed by a short acclimatisation period and a discussion of the session.
The centre suits people exploring non-invasive support for recovery, wellbeing or selected ongoing health concerns, including athletes seeking sports recovery and people managing long-term conditions. It also offers gift vouchers and subscription options, giving regular visitors different ways to arrange a course of sessions. Treatment suitability is considered through the arrival consultation, making the service more appropriate for planned individual appointments than casual drop-in use.
